Some facts about our steel water bottles

• It has been estimated that if you use your steel bottle more than 20 times instead of a plastic bottle, this will offset the environmental impact of manufacture of your water bottle has on environment.
• Steel water bottles have no liners, unlike aluminium bottles. The liners used in aluminium bottle are plastics and often contain BPA.
• Steel water bottles are BPA free The type of steel used in our bottles is 18/8, 304 food grade, the type used throughout the catering industry.
• Steel is fully recyclable and contrary to popular belief plastic is not fully recyclable. Plastic can only be recycled a few times before it becomes useless and is sent to landfill.
• If your precious steel bottle does end up in land fill it will break down harmlessly within around 100 years. Plastic bottles do not break down easily and estimates range from around 300 to 1000 years for plastic to break down. Thats a long time. Already plastic is turing up in our foods, such as fish – it has been found in Plankton.
• BPA (Bisphenol-A) is a hormone mimicking plastics chemical. There is emerging science linking it to hormone-sensitive cancers like breast cancer and prostate cancer. Many baby bottle manufacturers in the USA and UK have already turned to BPA-free bottles.
• Stainless steel is the obvious choice for people who want a rugged, portable and lightweight bottle.
• You can reuse them a thousand times over. Coca-Cola and PepsiCo, two companies that once battled against bottled water, are now the top producers of it, and their bottles are piling up in landfills everywhere.
• A stainless steel bottle can really make a difference. Filling your bottle from the tap is not only cheaper than bottled water: it’s also more eco-conscious since you’re not tossing plastic into the bin every time you need a drink.
